If I were to app for a character from a novel of mine, which is a reinterpretation of a preexisting mythos (the novel in question being a reinterpretation of Arthurian lore), would that character be considered an original character since it's my own version and there's really no copyright on the lore, or would it be considered fandom since it is, in the end, based upon a preexisting character? (The novel is not yet published, if it matters.)
Thank you!

*Points to Sloth's app* The character I've apped is really powerful and obviously I'll ask before using them and let people know in an intro if I'm accepted, but will I need to cut back on some of the abilities?
And if I did, would she know she'd lost something or just feel perfectly natural and have her memories altered so she didn't remember having the abilities she'd lost?

I'm contemplating applying here with this character. However, he's a computer program. Would a character like this be allowed in the setting? In his canon, he lives in a network; I would assume that he could live in the apartment network in this RP. Rest assured he wouldn't be able to hack into the server or do anything gamebreaking like that. He would be able to communicate with characters in the real world via video, voice, and text, just like the others; it's just that he wouldn't be able to actually exist there with them.
I'm aware that this would separate him from the ghost/survival horror aspect a bit, but he would have to deal with supernatural interference and disabling of technology, I'm assuming?

It's pretty damn obscure, so if you need more info or clarification, I can answer questions.
