AT LEAST WE FOUND OUT WHO KATE CHOOSES. FOR THAT'S REALLY ALL WE CARE ABOUT.

KATERS GONNA KATE.

Agreed that A2A ended better. I always thought it would, but somehow hoped Lost would do a little better...

I had hoped that lowering my hopes would allow me to hope the finale would end decently. And to be fair, I did like parts of it. Literally, the ending, I loved. But as a whole? THAT was what I've been waiting six years for? Yeah, no thanks.

I agree that good things happened, but the build up wasn't worth it. A2A had me in tears. Though it was a simpler ending, I was satisfied after waiting four years for it.

Haha, I am glad someone else is feeling angst. From all I could find online last night people were having these PROFOUND moments of POETIC emotions. I really liked some stuff. I was even cool with the alt being... limbo or whatever the hell... but I really agree with this, "it meant that they knew it'd end with Jack dying and his eye closing, mirroring the beginning shots of the Pilot." And I was actually really, really upset to not UNDERSTAND what the light was, what the stakes were, what was up with Smokey. Anything. I didn't need everything spelled out, but I didn't understand anything that was at stake, or what we won and then-- everyone was dead. Oh.

EXACTLY. I knew they weren't going to explain EVERYTHING, but if I had made a Bingo card of what things were going to be answered, it'd be a very empty Bingo card.

The hole underground and plugging it seemed to me to be ripped off from the rather bad Stephen King novel Desperation. I expected Desmond to start yelling 'Tak!' and pulling out his tongue.

That's what I was thinking. Ashes did it better, but I didn't want to say it, cuz uh, *spoilers.*

And chiming in on what lostsailors said, yeah, there are just way too many loose ends to this. WE'RE DEAD just seems like, and INDEED IT IS, a cop out. Practically NONE of the ISLAND mythology was sorted out. FFS, we still don't know why MIB turned into smoke!

Oh crap, I didn't realize you had spoiler tagged this for A2A as well! NM! A2A ends better, because for once, Heaven is in a pub and not a church. Looove it!

It's a cliched ending, and to me, if the Sideways stuff was just a "waiting room", then everything that happened on the Island was/is real.

Here, this will make you happy:

Why the ending of A2A is better than the ending of Lost, in two parts:
1. Gene > Jack.
2. I would always rather go to a pub than to a church.
