Gallifrey or Bust!

Mar 05, 2010 14:43

I’ve finally managed to work up a con report, though a lot of it is missing because my memory isn’t so good. That, and there’s no way to recollect all the awesomeness that happened last weekend. Omg.

Gallifrey was excellent. I was originally going for only two reasons: to promote Chicks Dig Time Lords and to hand deliver a set of nesting dolls to ( Read more... )

LOL I was the one that raised my hand to ask a question during the Fanart panel, but I was kind of interrupting and I felt bad for it, then I just never asked the question. FAIL.

I was mostly upstairs in the lobby when there wasn't a panel to see.

CRAP! :( I didn't know!
(that panel was kinda DURRR, too, I hope you weren't bored!)

Haha, don't worry about it. It was more of an observation than a question during the caricature bit that John Simm is the hardest person to draw ever.

Oh, the panel was fine enough! You can only talk so much about fanart before it just turns into a doodle free-for-all, you know? And I didn't realize that twirlynoodle was going to be there. I love her stuff! I was just in love with that everyone doing the panels was in animation as well. MY PEEPS.

Sorry I didn't say hi afterwards. I lingered around for a tiny bit, but I really was running back and forth, having to do all these things before I ducked out for PaleyFest. I figured I'd just see you again at some point to say hi, and I didn't! Failure on my part.

I don't know how I keep missing these cons--I LIVE IN L.A. ::headdesk:: Put it down to being totally oblivious, I guess.

It sounded like fun, though! I did Paleyfest a couple years ago, and I LOVE "The Lost Experience!" LOL Sounds about right.

Tennant should totally show up at a con someday. Preferably a few years from now, when the fangirls have quieted down a bit and nobody expects it. Because dear god, right now? The poor boy would be MOBBED.

It was my first PaleyFest and it was TOTALLY worth it. I wish I could stick around for extra days because I would have loved to see the Dexter panel. Oh well.

We were placing bets when he'd show up at a con. I'd hope that it'd be several years from now. That way, he can take a break from the whole Doctor Who experience and enjoy doing something else before he gets sucked back into the Vortex. LOL.

But yeah, dude would have to go into hiding.

Sorry I missed you! It's been kind of a crazy week for me. Next time you're in LA, we should have a Fellowship of the Nerds reunion!

It was a crazy week for me too, so it would have been hard. But yes, ONE DAY, WE WILL TOTES HANG OUT, MY FRIEND.

Geez, what does a boy have to do to get a shout-out in a Gally report? ;-)

I can't believe I missed the PlasteredHines. I guess I work as more of a deterrent than I thought.

I probably shouldn't have, but that was after multiple incidents of them calling Who fans freaks.

There's going to be a Richard episode of Lost?!?!?!

My memory of that night is a bit fuzzy because I was giddy about seeing Real! Live! Lost people, but if I recall, there should be a Richard story coming up soon. If anything, we'll at least learn his backstory.

That must be an interesting concept for an actor... playing a mysterious character for several years that he has NO CLUE where he comes from.
