Gosh, Escaflowne. That series was the reason I started going on forums/etc back...well way back. Geez, was that a long time ago! It definitely still holds up, regardless of what people say. I still just have the bootleg dvd of the series too. XD I keep meaning to buy the Bandai complete collection and it just...never happens.
I'm actually downloading it right now because I too realized I didn't have it. I'm put it on a filesharer and send it your way when I'm done!
Yeah, I think Escaflowne was my first step into the Internet world of fandom. I think the actual set of it is pretty cheap now, too! I remember seeing it in Best Buy and "flipping out" on how inexpensive it was. I have that Limited Edition set that came in a nice box.
Trufax! It was like a walk down Memory Lane! I had completely forgotten parts, too, so it was sort of fun to rewatch the series, but stuff would sort of be brand new!
God I love that show! (and bebop too) I just rewatched the other day with the same craving to see if it was as good as I remembered. But I didn't finish the last 2 episodes, not because it was bad, but because while it is a beautiful ending, it's such a sad one, and i really wanted them to have a happy ending.

Awwwww! But the last episode has that scene where he swoops down! And rescues her! Their lurve cannot be denied!
(Totally understandable, though. I used to torture myself by watching those ending credits... mostly because I was so in love with that song - and apparently forgot all about it!)

I remembered the end different though? Weird.
I think I have that "For Lovers Only" one, if no one else does. I just have to make sure it's here and not back home.

Don't you mean BARM?
Oh yes. And Gaddes was love, too.
How do you remember the end? Are you mixing it up with its completely AU!movie version?
Looks like I got it! But thanks anyway.
