I should not be freaking out about this (because, you know, remake and all that), but I walked out my front door this morning to find my entire street tagged with yellow flyers and no cars on it.

THEY'RE FILMING 'LIFE ON MARS' ON MY STREET TODAY OMG.

But I look around and I'm like 'This doesn't really LOOK all that 70s-ish'.

Shit, now I might ( Read more... )

Heh - that's WAY better than running into traffic due to HSM 3 filming!

That original pilot for the LA based show was dreadful. I really hope that they get there act together and make a decent show. With recent track records of Brit imports being spotty at best, I am wary of this re-tool of the show.

LOL oh poor you! There wasn't anyone there yet that I could see, save for a couple of cops.

A friend of mine has the pilot, but I have yet to see it (out of morbid curiosity). I think I might have to do a LoM rewatch so I can watch some A2A afterwards.

I watched the A2A pilot and have about 5 more episodes in hand, but haven't had time to watch them yet. Is it good?

I love A2A. I know a lot of people didn't really, or couldn't watch it because they were hardcore LoM fans. I don't know. I prefer A2A!Gene Hunt over LoM!Gene Hunt and as much as I love Sam, I *ADORE* Alex.

So yes, that's my seal of approval. I slightly enjoy A2A more than LoM (and I LOVE LoM).

I've only heard bad things about the show. But that's still REALLY COOL!

E-mail me through my LJ addy re: CA plans?

I know, right?! WHAT IF AU!SAM TYLER AND AU!GENE HUNT ARE CHASING CRIMINALS DOWN MY STREET? OR AU!ANNIE LIVES ON MY STREET? IN MY APARTMENT?

(AU standing for American Universe, apparently)

PS. Meant to add, the Yahoo addy? I'm gonna wait till my cousin gets online to see what her plans are for that weekend, but I figure she's gonna bring down HER cousin as well, so more the merrier?

Sounds good! It's just a bit of a crazy weekend, so I need to see what's what so I can RSVP to crap.

They film LoM in New York?! I thought it was a west coast operation! ZOMG. I need to get my resume together!

I think they did, but a while ago, they sacked the producers and recast everyone. Bergz showed me pictures of them filming in Brooklyn by her old apartment.

OMG. THINK OF ALL THE AWESOME LEATHER JACKETS. *flails*

I wonder if I worked for them if they'd let me steal as many things from set as this film does.

...Probably not.

PS! Day off tomorrow! ...You know, just fyi.

Thank you for the birthday wishes!

I am still grumbling about the US version of LOM, but it would be exciting to have them shoot in your street.

You're welcome!

And me too. This woman walking her dog walked by me when I was reading the flyer and gave me the oddest look when I sort of made a slight squee-ing noise. And her dog was like 'WTF'. My landlord usually does a lot of housework/yardwork, so maybe he'll see something.
