Today, for the first time, I have finally learned how the traditional annual Spanish lottery "El Gordo" ("the big one") works. It looks complex from the outside but a bit of analysis explains how easy it really is. You may have heard of it in the context of being the world's richest lotto, over a billion US dollars in prizes and so forth.
