Bare Feet on Blacktop

My life is always better when I get a little extra time away from work.  Such is the case with this three day weekend.  I can relax a bit more knowing I have monday off as well and do some things I have been really looking forward to.  I started by going to see "Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull".  I thought it was fun although it ( Read more... )

Unfortunately, this meant walking part of the way on blacktop which I had forgotten how hot it can get on a summer day since I have not spent much time out of my shoes and socks since I was a kid.

Oh yes that will mess your feet up. I am almost always barefoot except in the winter my house gets too cold for that.

Walking around barefoot outdoors is something I only did as a kid. My tendency was to keep my body covered by my teens even during the summer. I rarely wore shorts, let alone took my shoes off. I still have a tendency to keep covered but sort of enjoyed running around in my bare feet for a bit, recalling more innocent preteen days, even though the blacktop was sure hot. :)

Hello...Hope you enjoyed the Movie ,Indiana Jones...I thought it was a great movie. Well maybe not great but a good action movie....I saw a 1015 AM showing..Of course only a handful of people, but allowed me to be barefoot. Being barefoot happens to be one of the best sensations there are. I go barefoot as much as possible. Well some may find that a male walking around barefoot might be called "gay", but I am not and I could care less what people think. Walking barefoot just sets the mind in a balance of calm.

Indy 4 is definitely a fun matinee film with lots of action. I think that viewers younger than myself may appreciate it even more since they probably have fewer expectations of what an Indiana Jones film is like. Given my experiences with walking across a hot surface, I will probably stick mostly to wearing shoes but if you are most comfortable barefoot that is cool too. :)
