Yes, that is sculling. There are 8 or 10 guys in the boat but each has one oar. WOW that is something I'd like to see in person. In the opening of THE EXORCIST there was a team rowing. This is going to build your physical strength.

If there's anything you can tell me about how meetings were run (especially the first year), I'd really like to know. When I start rehearsals, I'm going to be in the Ms. June/Wittner position, and I'm so frightened, but invigorated.

Well, from what I remember, we did a number of icebreaker-type games, not necessarily to get to know each other, but to get to know ourselves and become comfortable sharing about ourselves with others. One game I remember in particular was standing on a box and sharing a secret, a hope, or a fear (or even something a person might dislike about herself) -- it was the first time I came out to a large group of people.
