Pegasus
Ahhhh - the joys of con going.
After getting up at 02:30 in Bratislava in the Slovak Republic on Saturday morning after presenting to a gaggle of lawyers at a retreat the day before, and two taxis and one flight later, I was back in England where I met up with evildrem and we headed off to Pegasus 1.
What a fabulous time!!!! The first talk we attended was Jason Momoa’s. Gods - what a beautiful, completely adorable guy! evildrem’s entry pretty much sums it up.
And, talk about good karma. As danamaree, jedinic, evildrem and I were wrapping up lunch at the hotel restaurant, Joe came in and headed over to the back area. Minutes later, Jason came in and headed over to meet up with Joe. Suffice it to say that we all decided it would be a *very* good idea to order a second bottle of wine and linger on in the restaurant. And what fun that was. They are just so *lovely* together - the friendship is truly genuine.
As for the rest of con - it was equally wonderful. The Fancy Dress and disco afterwards on Saturday was a blast. Many of the guests attended the disco and stayed most of the entire evening - including Jason, Aaron Douglas, Rainbow Sun Francks and Craig Veroni. A good time was most definitely had by all.
Without hesitation I would recommend next year’s Pegasus 2 (and yes, both evildrem and I have already bought tickets - hey, we’re going to next year’s meet and greet thank you very much as we have tickets numbered in the 40-50 range!!) The organizers are already expecting it to be bigger and better - don’t know how they’ll manage that unless they get David Hewlett to attend as well. Now *that* would be incredible.
‘Twas much, much fun - as you can tell. bigtitch -- you were much missed, but in our thoughts (and in our speed dial *grin*).
And, to wrap things up, behind the cut are some pics from the con. They (the guys and gals of Atlantis) are all *so* lovely …
