We're having a lot of fun coming up with various challenges, and recently, we've started to post very general tutorials. There are so many programmes out there, that detailed tutorials are tricky, but we were hoping to shed some light on how we approach the art of

I'm amazed how much time, effort and artistic skill is involved in making quality icons. The proof is in the finished icon and both you and Becky's are always gorgeous and memorable.

Thank you so very much m'dear!! They may only be 100 by 100 pixels, but many of us do treat them like small works of art. They're a pleasure to create, but they do take time. Most of the work is in the image preparation stage which isn't flashy or showy, but it gives you a solid base to start working with. Thank you again for the lovely words m'dear!

Thank you! It was fun to go through the stages of actually making an icon -- even I don't consciously realize how many levels are involved.

And yes, Ziva is kickass -- although Abby is still my favourite of the female characters :D.
