So. First things first. The Parting Glass, the sequel to In a Dark Wood is now available through Amazon, B&N, All Romance Ebooks, and Smashwords. It started as a Christmas coda, but then I realized I couldn't do the story justice, so I thought it would be a short story. But it was a little more complicated so it ended up at 23K novella. That was a wonderful addition to IADW, even more angst filled than the first one, but I was right there with them both, had a definite visceral punch to it. Excellent as always.

I just bought both over at ARe, the Kindle copy of In a Dark Wood is a bit wonky, the title is attatched to the last line of each chapter.
Currently reading the EPUB instead, that one is looking good

(I gave up on the MOBI copy after this 'He had very IN A DARK WOOD white teeth')

Like the book so far :)

Uh oh! That's strange. The kindle mobi version seemed fine through Amazon. I'll recheck it. Sorry about that! I can send you the smashwords formatted mobi. That might work better?

No that's OK, I've got more reading options and both the EPUB & PDF works for me, just wanted to let you know :)

Whee! Downloaded The Parting Glass from Amazon - that cover is to die for and I have saved it to my computer because my Kindle only does black and white... And then realised that much as I adored In a Dark Wood I would have to re-read it before starting the new book. A double treat in store!

Loved "The Parting Glass" - and I'll second moth2fic's opinion - that guy on the cover!!!

Really looking forward to more Taylor and Will! Thanks for the updates.

Loved this one Josh, it was wonderful. And I went back to find a version of 'The Parting Glass' and found it on a CD by The Voice Squad, a wonderful close harmony group from Ireland. The album is called Holly Wood, which seemed oddly appropriate. I now need to find Carrickfergus, which I used to have on tape...What about a playlist for this? I'd be fascinated to know what you listened to while writing it.

Have a good autumn, I love it when we get the first crisp frost and the leaves all turn colour, then blow off in the wind and crunch under foot. It makes me want to borrow a dog and go for a walk, and find a nice pub with a log fire and good beer...this year in London it has been cold, then warm, then wet and miserable. No season of mellow fruitfulness yet!

It's strange. It's cold but the leaves are not turning gold. It's chilly and windy.

I'm not familiar with Voice Squad.
