It's all work and no play today. Got a book due. HOW do I manage to time things so perfectly?

Work's a good thing, just make sure you play too ;o)

Well, if I finish the work, then yes, I do get to play. It's a great incentive. :)

Happy day to you (and a happy day for all your readers, who love the fact that you're working on a new book!). *g*

Thank you very much! We did manage to scrape out a little bit of celebration when I finally finished about nine o'clock last night.

Heroin chicken wings, beer, and a James Bond documentary. Ah romance! :-D

Much better than we managed -- both had headaches, fell asleep, woke later to watch TV separately b/c we never agree on anything, LOL.

Companionship takes many forms -- including forms in other rooms. :-D

Am currently reading Come Unto These Yellow Sands for the fifth time. Now that is the way to give one's self a wonderful Valentine's present! So thank you for making it possible.

(also...I'm from the south and grew up making snickerdoodle cookies. I make the best that anyone has ever tasted...and I don't care a fig what autocorrect says: snickerdoodle is one word!)

What is a snickerdoodle cookie when it's at home, please?

Snickerdoodles are the best cookies ever. Basically a sugar and cinnamon cookie, but made with butter and cream of tartar and so they have a very unique taste.

Commerial ones tend to be pretty bland and just taste like doughy flour with some sugar an cinnamon on them.

And when someone who knows how to make them, makes them, they are simply the best. Yummy bliss.

Snickerdoodles do not stay at home for long because they are usually eaten upon arrival! :-)

Right, I shall find a recipe and see if I can create a gluten free version...

I am happy to share mine which is an old family version and just wonderful, but white flour is pretty much an essential ingredient. Sorry!

Now I am wondering if they would work with rice flour....hmmmm.
