Finished my piece of Mexican Heat and sent that off to our fearless editor. We'll see how that goes. Put together a proposal for a new romantic comedy / erotic mystery novel -- about 30,000 words in so far -- and mailed that off to publishers. Somebody Killed His Editor -- and that title has nothing to do with sending Mexican Heat off for the next ( Read more... )

I am going to be excited to see what you do with the WW1 time period, I used to study it extensively.

So, when you send a book off to your editor, do you need a drink?

Not usually. But this project has been emotionally intense. And since the series is titled Crime and Cocktails...I admit I craved margaritas the whole time I was writing. *g*

I really like Diamond's writing. Certainly what I've seen so far. Beyond that -- I don't know. It's a collection of stories, not sure if they were culled from previous anthos or its all original. Anyway, should be quite good. It's got very good reviews.

I read and reviewed Rough Cut and it's mostly stories that were in previous anthologies or separate releases, although there were a few new stories. I liked the collection very much - it was my first exposure to Vincent's work

I rarely try and write "funny,"

Well, considering how much I laugh when you're *not* trying, I'll make sure not to drink anything when reading this.

I loved Wicked Gentlemen. Just wished there had been a sequel.

Ah. I was lying there last night trying to think of what should happen next. Of course, I'm very locked into the PI idea right now, so I liked the idea of Harper and Sykes going into the PI business and investigating some of these Prodigal "crimes."

I think there is going to be a sequel... I think that's what she said. I was pestering her personally at the time, so she may have just said anything to get rid of me...

I ♥ Ginn Hale like wow and whoa.

Funny people aren't usually trying to be funny. They just are. Oh, and we're laughing with you, not at you *g*.

romantic comedy/erotic mystery! I always find your stories humorous without trying to be funny, they usually come from the character's personality more than situational, so it will be interesting to see you "spice up" further in this department. And since Adrien has mentioned it, I think "First You Fall" by Scott Sherman falls into this category. I enjoyed it, even though I have the same qusetion as Adrien did - how many hustler turned sleuth can there be? *g*

I heart "Rough Cut" by Vince Diamond :)

He managed to do what almost no one does -- make me laugh outloud.

But, yeah, the hustler thing.
