a recurring thought

There is something equally annoying and sad about people who are always negative. In some sense, their negative attitudes annoy because they are always being discouraging of other peoples' ideas and are the first ones to say, "Let me tell you why that will not work..." uh... interesting article, but i don't think that is where i am at. i am not questioning god or his existence. quite to the contrary, it is man that i am frustrated with. it is the negative people around me lately that are getting to me.

by the way, i've never read much from colson, but that article seemed like a lot of rambling and fluff. i'm sure his point could be made much better in a longer article though.

You're taught that you should fear the accusations in ministry?? That's rather odd -- something I've never heard before. Can you please elaborate on it?

Saying, "It's not the action that matters, it's the accusations," means that it may not matter if your action had good intentions if it is percieved in a certain way by the church. It is much the same as saying, "perception = reality."

Why? In ministry, your following has a lot to do with your integrity. The destruction of that can cost you your ministry, even if it is just from gossip, not actual wrong-doing.
