Uhm... Yes. Yes he does. Really. We can assume that. I mean, he is a superhero after all...

^This is why we don't want me to write a seqeul. Because I don't know if he gets there in time. There's a very, very good chance that he doesn't. And I don't like writing sad endings. So we're just gonna assume he whooshes in, saves the day, gets the girl, and flies off into the Malibu sunset to live happily ever after with Pepper. Yes.

(On a side note, I cannot express how much I love your icon. Every time I see it, I squee, sigh, and get all warm and fuzzy inside ^__^ )

You will notice that I didn't beg you for a follow-up. This is because I know how my brain works (very, very evilly, let me tell you), and if yours is anything like mine, yeah, she'd totally die.

In fact, I wrote a Firefly fic once where River and Jayne got captured by Niska and Jayne got tortured for awhile, and they were rescued just in the nick of time. Some rabid Rayne shipper asked me "Ooo, I wonder what would have happened if they hadn't been rescued right away?" And I thought "Well, Jayne's a human man, not a vampire. HE'D DIE."

And then of course I had to write an alternate ending. That person...didn't review again. I wonder why.

So, yes. Please just leave it as is. ;)

Aww aww aww! Were literally the first words I thought of upon finishing (and recommending to a sibling). This is amazing, I can't believe how you've taken the simple act of her quitting (which has been done ad nauseam, really) and made it into something so powerful I'm itching for more. Also, I think the last line broke my heart.

I agree, the Pepper quits/gives notice/up and leaves plotline has been done to death, probably because all us shippers really believe that could be a real breaking point for Tony. But that first line just popped into my head out of the blue, and I was like 'Crap, now I need a story to go with this!' Seriously, that's all this thing was ^_^;;

Eeeeehhhhh... I don't think you really want that. Because, seriously, I'm not sure what would happen if I wrote more. There's a very high likelihood of Pepper dying at some point, either before Tony gets there or shortly thereafter. And I really, really don't want to kill Pepper o_o;
