Aw, Summer! You always know the right thing to say!

I can only offer that there are some really ugly things being sold as clothes this season

You're not wrong there, mind! My god, but the fashion world expects me to wear some crap this season!

Plus, on reflection, he wasn't just wearing a kilt/skirt, he was wearing the shoes, socks, tassles, daggers, buckles, kilt, sporran, shirt, waistcoat, jacket and bow-tie - and he's six foot three, so it was fairly masculine and a just little bit Braveheart.

And, I particularly like the excuse of being able to 'sell a look', I like that very much and think I might well use it on a daily basis.

Of course, I did redeem myslf somewhat by going to the evening party in my highest heels, and a sequined skirt, and flirting shamelessly with the barman.

This is the wrong place to talk about guns right now. I thought your column was idiotic. lily_st_regis November 10 2009, 14:33:19 UTC
But for a brilliant surgical team and two centimeters
of a miracle, this guy's dead right now. From bullets fired from a gun bought legally.
They bought guns, they loaded them, they drove from Wheeling to Rosslyn, and until they
pulled the trigger they had yet to commit a crime. I am so off-the-charts tired of the
gun lobby tossing around words like 'personal freedom' and no one calling 'em on it.
[Josh moves away uncomfortably.] It's not about personal freedom, and it certainly has
nothing to do with public safety. It's just that some people like guns.
