Thanks - not quite finished yet, but it obviously drew people in if I got comments!

Heh, I have to admit the first few times I read Ender's Game I skipped those bits because I hate italics :P

Good Lord woman! This has such Christian overtones, put me in mind of a modern day Good Samaritan story - or Aesop's fable. (Remember those?)

I love that the whole entry is done by correspondence of some sort. It's unexpected and a nice touch. Great entry! :)

It wasn't quite finished - I got too tired :( Forgot to make it private after I had a proofreader look at it!

the price you pay for not getting involved! and what a long time the xrrst waited before trying to teach humanity a lesson. (in my head they look like giant purple fluffballs, cute and harmless.)

and i too really liked the way the story was told through records - letters, debriefings, what look like little-kid diary/journal entries. it's very immediate.

They were pretty busy fighting the Ch'niks - and their timescales are a bit different to ours!

And thanks :)

A parable! I enjoyed the missive style!

Heh, it wasn't intended as such, but now that people have said it, I can see why they think so.
