Ryo looked over his shoulder to see his band’s drummer beating his instrument relentlessly. He would be done soon, Ryo knew, the sweat on Ohkura’s face running down like a broken waterfall. If the younger male were not too tired to stop playing yet, he would definitely stop to get a new towel; his other towel seemed completely useless, soaked and dirty. The young drummer brought the incessant noise to a halt, sat there, head tilted back, eyes shut. He slowly opened his eyes and put his head forward. Drumsticks placed in one hand. Ohkura started to look for his towel with no luck. He rose from his stool, placing his sticks on the snare neatly and walked over to the table near the sink in the corner of the room, grabbing a towel. He wiped off the majority of the sweat off his forehead, took the towel back with him to his stool, swinging it in his hand lazily as he seated himself once more. Once again he brought the towel back to his face, dragging it from the top of his head all the way down to the bottom of his neck. With all the sweat was visibly gone from his face, he ran his fingers through his hair to clear the strands from his face. Ohkura then placed the towel over his face, tilting his head back as he sighed.
Ryo grinned and placed a hand on the space next him as he lounged on the couch. “Tacchon,” he called out.
Ohkura took the towel away from his face, and lifted his head back up to the normal position. He looked over at his best friend and smiled lazily. “Hmmm?” he responded as he rose from his stool behind the drum set, walking over to Ryo. He sat down on the couch next to Ryo, nearly on top of the older male’s hand, but luckily, Ryo had noticed in time and quickly removed it. Ohkura threw an arm around Ryo as the older male leaned his head on Ohkura’s shoulder.
“I want to go to Okinawa,” Ryo chirped.
“Me too,” Ohkura replied.
“Right now!” Ryo said placing his right hand on Ohkura’s knee.
Ohkura blinked. “Well, we’re busy until the end of September, you know that,” he informed Ryo.
“I know,” Ryo said pouting slightly. “But I want to go there now! Didn’t we have so much fun last time?” he asked knowingly as he grinned up to him.
“We did,” Ohkura insisted. “Believe me, I want to go as well, and we are going to be there at the end of September.”
“But we’ll be there for a concert, and we have concerts after that now. Ending it September 22nd would have been so much better! So we can’t truly enjoy Okinawa then!” Ryo exclaimed.
Ohkura accompanied his retort with a dramatic eye roll. “Try.”
Ryo pouted. “Tacchon!” he whined.
Ohkura looked down at his older friend, who was now basically digging his head into Ohkura’s shoulder. “We’ll go to Okinawa soon, but we have to finish this tour first and so many other things. It’s hard being an idol. You should know,” he said.
Ryo rolled his eyes. “Of course, I know. You’re talking to the pro here,” he said.
“And with that being said, didn’t you just go to Okinawa recently anyways?” Ohkura asked.
Ryo quirked an eyebrow. “Have you been stalking me?” he asked appalled, slightly excited.
“What!” Ohkura asked. “No, I just read your J-Web,” he assured Ryo.
“Where I come from, that’s definitely called stalking!” Ryo exclaimed. “Since when have you been reading my J-web anyways?” he asked, leaning his elbows on Ohkura’s thigh in a thinly veiled manner of seduction.
Ohkura looked away slightly, a hint of a red appearing on his cheeks. “I read everyone’s J-Web,” he said quickly.
“Oh,” Ryo replied, trying to hide his disappointment. “So, what did Yokoyama-kun write about yesterday? I am kind of curious. I forgot to read his,” Ryo said slyly.
“Um,” Ohkura hummed thoughtfully, trying hard to think of somehow bullshitting his way through this. “Didn’t he go out with his friends?”
“Hmmm,” Ryo pondered. “Is that it?” he asked, tilting his head in fake innocence.
Ohkura bit his lip as Ryo stared at him with that cute look. “Um, I don’t remember,” Ohkura said. “It must have slipped my mind.”
“You lie,” Ryo said grinning, closing the space between them even further.
Ohkura didn’t move at all, figuring Ryo was just being his usual Kanjani8-self, all touchy-feely. They were best friends anyway, and it probably didn’t mean anything-especially since he was usually like this with the others besides him. Instead, he placed a comforting hand on Ryo’s back.
“It’s not good to lie you know, Tacchon,” Ryo said seductively, moving even closer as his chin rested on Ohkura’s chest. He looked up at the drummer with a slight smirk.
Ohkura gazed down at the older man. “Ryo?” he remarked, confused. “What are you going to do to me, then?” uncertain of the meaning of Ryo’s facial expression.
“It’s not what I am going to do to you; it’s what you’ll do for me,” Ryo replied.
“Huh?” Ohkura was dumbfounded. The cryptic replies Ryo continued to give him didn’t really help further along his understanding of the events that were happening currently.
“Anyways, I want to go to Okinawa, with you. Go book a ticket, Tacchon. Let’s go next week!” Ryo cried.
“What?” Ohkura exclaimed. “You’re crazy, Ryo,”
Ryo displayed his very best pout once again. “I just wanted to spend some time with you, and you’re being so negative. What’s wrong with you?” he asked.
“What?” Ohkura spluttered but then gathered his feelings. He bent down and nipped Ryo’s nose. “Well, couldn’t you have just said that in the first place?” he asked softly.
“I want to go to Okinawa too,” Ryo laughed. “Kill two birds with one stone so to speak.”
“Well, you can kill the second bird later. But I wouldn’t mind spending time with you, I guess,” Ohkura said chuckling, knowing that would garner a response from Ryo.
Ryo leaned his head against Ohkura’s chest, and turned it away from Ohkura. “I like you,” he said blushing slightly. “So even though we don’t get to go to Okinawa together, I wouldn’t mind spending time like this together.”
Ohkura looked down at the older male and kissed him on top of the head as held him close. “I like you too, Ryo,” he muttered into Ryo’s hair, just loud enough for the other male to hear.
