I finished reading "The Time Traveler's Wife" this past weekend.  It was lovely and romantic and sad and fantastic.  I might read it over again, just because it was beautiful and I missed stuff.  I'm not sure if I'll rent the movie though, I've heard mixed reviews of the movie ( Read more... )

This is my favorite recipe for quinoa (you could play with different green vegetables-- I like it with romanie and/or kale the most-- and it doesn't really need much cheese): http://www.vegetariantimes.com/recipes/11247?section=

There is white and red quinoa so you might want to try them both. (IMO, white is better). It's popular now so you could get it organic and/or in bulk at health food stores instead of the expensive boxes at the regular grocery stores.

Vegetariantimes.com has like 50 quinoa recipes.

Good luck with the flaxseed. I just add it to yogurt a lot... If you stumble on better ways to use it, please post about it.

Thanks for the recommendation. I cooked it last night with some curry and ate it cold with some chicken today. I really liked the flavor, or almost lack of flavor. I think flax-seed will be good added to steel-cut oatmeal or quinoa, for that matter.
