Talked to hubby tonight...I'm ... going ... to ... Phoenix Rising!!!!!!!!! Can't ... breathe... or ... type... at ... normal... speed...

I'm still so excited I was pumping away so hard on that elliptical this morning I must have been breathing really loud or something, 'cause the guy on the next machine looked at me a few times in concern. He probably thought he was going to have to call the paramedics.

Hubby asked last night if I was taking our daughter, so explained about the age restriction and how it was alot of lectures/seminars interspersed with craft swaps, quidditch matches, etc. He said, "Wow, she's going to be crushed, especially since I'm going to that Count Olaf convention the following week." I was ROTFL. Seriously, though, she will be bummed that she can't come with, but I'll try to emphasize the lectures and downplay the movies and fun. If they're still having them when she's older it will be something we can do together.
All I know is it gives me something really special and fun to look forward to... when I'm having a particularly bad day at work, I can just say, remember, you're doing this for your family, and you have a vacation coming.......

Hmmmm... same conversation I've had twice now. Elena will be a year too young for Portus next year. If it was an Eragon convention, at this moment, she might disown me. They only thing E & G really, and I mean REALLY envied was wizard rock, and I made that up to them by taking them to a show later in the summer.

I didn't sign up for squishy purple sleeping bags, but am thinking about Storyville. I haven't registered yet, but I'm soooo tempted! To be completely honest and fair about it, we pretty much just hung out and partied at night... and there doesn't need to be much organization for that!

That on didn't really appeal as much to me as the Keynote at the wax museum, I think it's Friday night? sounds pretty interesting... And I can prob BYOPurpleSquashySleepingBag.;)

Were you planning on any of the keynotes? I guess I can just register for now and add other stuff later. I should prob go ahead and make a hotel reserveation too, and then see if I can either find someone to share or find someone who needs another person and then cancel mine.
