This made me tear up, you have no idea. I flash back instantly at those sentimental looks Hae gives Hyuk every now and then when he's in the middle of being happy and smiling and being totally unaware, and vice versa (but it shows up more on Hae's side, IDK why). I love the subtlety of everything and how the reality of their situation despite the distraction of Jeju creeps up to both Hyukjae and Donghae and to us readers as well, making their realizations of wanting to be together for the rest of their life even more stark and painful. But then it's not really a realization, isn't it, since it's something they've both been wanting and denying themselves for so long. I love it, the feeling is relatable, for an idol and anyone, for the matter, struggling to keep up with the real world. Thank you for the gorgeous fic, and ugh, I love your Donghae and Hyukjae SO much. <3

So I scrapped the whole thing and thought about it again and got this one out, which I'm grateful for because it would have bothered me forever if I hadn't, and that's not a good thing when you're in the middle of exams. /rambles

al;ksjh;flkj okay I'm going to throw out whatever I can think of, and you can choose any or all :D

1) Donghae feels insecure in China without Hyukjae.
2) When fanservice stopped being purely fanservice.
3) They have several other close friends, but ultimately it's always down to them and what they feel for each other is irreplaceable.
4) Donghae is sometimes jealous that Hyukjae and Sungmin have had many more years together than him and Hyukjae. (as you can tell, I kind of love insecure Donghae ;)
5) Hyukjae wants to show Donghae that he loves him just as much, but he doesn't know how because he's never been good with words.
6) He's falling, unknowingly, until he hits bottom.
