MFA program here requires four workshops in your genre, plus one in creative nonfiction, and another one in a genre of your choice. I'll probably be doing either nonfiction again or an extra poetry there, if I can't get into the fiction workshop for next semester (I emailed my adviser and asked him to change me over to the fiction one). Kay and John (the teacher I had last semester) are the only ones who teach the poetry workshop, but Kay is retiring after this semester and I've heard that John is going on sabbatical next spring, so I have no idea what's going to happen there.

No srsly, I'm angry. I don't want you being more stressed out than you already are and being pushed into something you DON'T WANT. This is your education. Not theirs. They can take their fucking suggestions and shove it. It reminds me of my other adviser that I had back in undergrad when I was still a Film and Video major. I told him I was going to China for the summer. He told me that I shouldn't do that and instead stay in Allendale and take some stupid ass summer ( ... )

I don't know if maybe I was just overreacting or what to him, but it was very upsetting. I'm hoping that talking to Kay on Wednesday will help me with this.
Hopefully my epic battle with the bugs is over. I'm just not going out after 6:00 anymore :P I have zero problems with ceding this battle; there are way more of them than me.
LOOKING FORWARD TO SEEING YOU TOO HOORAY ONLY TWO MORE MONTHS~!!!
