A boy commited suicide in my town

A teenager named Jacob Rogers committed suicide. I didn't know him, but he's from my small hometown. I've likely met him before, seen him around. He did it because he was bullied for being gay

Jesus would be ashamed of you

Yeah, I may not be religious, but I'm a lapsed Methodist, and pretty much the basis of everything I learned in Sunday school and in sermons boiled down to "Jesus loves everyone", and kindness and tolerance are His favorite virtues. I never get why some people prefer the idea of a wrathful, cruel God to the one who (iirc) sent his son to Earth out of love.

There's that whole "And the second greatest commandment is to love your neighbor as yourself" thing. Which apparently get's brushed away in favor of one's Jesus didn't mention at all as being important :|
