quick question

Nov 16, 2008 23:57

This is probably a bit daft, but when submitting the printed-out application does it need to be stapled together? I know that it's required to submit each group of original/copies paper-clipped together but there's no mention of stapling the actual 8 pages of application. Does it matter? Maybe I'm just worrying too much ( Read more... )

If you download the checklist from the application website it tells you how to put your packet together.. here's the direct link

I scoured over all of the application info and the checklist, saw nothing about staples. Thanks for the advice though!

The checklist clearly states that each set should be held together by a single paperclip.. which I had assumed to mean no staples :)

I read that but figured it couldn't hurt to ask just in case. I've heard that they'll discard any applications that have anything amiss. Thank you! :)

I agree, no staples! Just try to keep all the originals in one set and the copies in the other sets. Paperclip the original sets and paperclip them together if you want, but don't staple!

Thank you very much! I'm keeping the stapler far away from my application packet. :P

Paperclips preferred. If applications are stapled incorrectly, the staples will be pulled out and applications will be put together in the proper order before going to the next stage. By the time the application gets to the real people who actually make the decisions, they'll have no idea whether your application was stapled, papercliped, loose, had recommendations in 3 envelopes or in 1, etc...

Just get it in. As long as it's complete, it will go on to the next stage.
