ALT or CIR?

Hi, I am a junior in college, contemplating about applying to the jet program this following (next) year.  My main problem right now is whether to apply to be an ALT or CIR.  I don't have any experience really out in the work field (since I haven't gotten my bachelor's yet) other than just summer/winter jobs BUT I do have experience working 2 summers in a row at an ESL summer camp.  Also, my parents are from Japan so I speak fluent Japanese.  Which do you suggest I apply for?

Also, I've heard not many Asian (Japanese?) Americans get the job and mostly whites...is it true??  Do you think I have any chance?
