Pixiv Picspam of JETKO DESTINY?
As some of you may know, there's a (mostly) Japanese art website called Pixiv, which functions much like DeviantArt -- people post their drawings, you can rate and fav them, etc. I've been vaguely following it for a while, after someone tipped me off to the fact that some really great ATLA art was getting posted. For a long time, there wasn't much -- just a few drawings here and there, cool pinups and some cute little cartoons.
And then -- SEEMINGLY OUT OF NOWHERE -- the winds shifted. Suddenly there was a whole lotta "BL" art. And nearly all of it was by a group of Chinese-speaking ladies who seem to really, really dig Jet/Zuko.
I don't know why this happened. I don't know if they saw what we were up to on DeviantArt, or if they just watched The Serpent's Pass and were sucked in, or....seriously, I DON'T KNOW. But I am not going to argue with fate when it smiles on me so brightly.
Which brings me to the point of this post!
PICSPAM.

I've organized these by artist to make my life marginally easier -- click on the image to see its page on pixiv.
First, by D! (starting off slow, here. gotta eeeeeeeease into these things)
The explanation of this one roughly translates to: "In this city, JET brand grass is the trend of hot item, if you have a JET brand grass, it means you are a fashionable youth?"
I've been told this basically amounts to Zuko selling NC17 doujinshi to Otaku!Jet at a convention. I don't even know, guys.
This is appropriate for SO MANY SUPER NERDY-REASONS
Then there's Kyosa, who....okay, she didn't START the football thing, but she contributed to it in ways I thoroughly approve of. (more on this later)
I'm not sure how great the translation is, but this one is labled something like: "Zuzulala captain of the Queen! Sokka quarterback Derek Jeter both offensive and defensive lines have sex!" Guys, I don't...I just...yeah. But somehow, Sokka and Jet attempting to coerce Zuko into eating fast food is charming the hell out of me.
And then...in SPAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAACE
This one seems to be a collaboration between Kyosa and Peckm (啄米)
NEXT, the lovely Motoko (元子) which is where things start to get into "PLEASE GOD LET THERE BE DOUJINSHI" territory
Although first, there's more of the Football AU....
...an awesome portrait of Zuko...
...a GORGEOUS portrait of Jet...
....and then my head exploded. Keep in mind that all of this was posted over the course of a few WEEKS. Like I kept being all, "Man, I should do a picspam!" AND THEN THESE LADIES WOULD DESTROY ME ALL OVER AGAIN.
This was called "The Fire of Love" (AWWW)
This cracks me up every single time I look at it
I don't even know what to say to this, except for that I ADORE Zuko's "WTF" expression and I cannot help but wonder what EXACTLY Jet's saying to him. KIND OF A FANFIC WAITING TO HAPPEN, RIGHT?
Speaking of which....(and btw, this was posted like TODAY and was what finally pushed me over the edge into making this damn post)

And finally....*deep breath* Finally there is MTFY. Which is where I remind you that the end of this post is not even remotely safe for work!

I don't really know what this is about, but the details are pretty adorable and both of them are shirtless, so I'm not arguing.
The expressions in this one KILL ME DEAD, not to mention the gorgeous lighting. ;_;
And finally....well, it's not MY birthday, but I FEEL LIKE IT IS, YOU KNOW? (Link won't work unless you have a Pixiv account, but I'm including it regardless)

There's one other Chinese-speaking artist who does FANTASTIC STUFF, and while she has some images up on Pixiv she has a DA account, as well! I addition to being awesome and nice, she seems to have been the instigator of Cheerleader!Zuko, so it seemed APPROPRIATE to include her in this post!
