When Theft isn't Theft

So yesterday Karen and I decided to go to the nearest Futureshop to get a new car stereo, as the old one doesn't work, only plays CDs and is rather old. Getting into the car, I noticed that somebody had thoughtfully removed the old stereo for us. Okay, so I don't lock the car, cause it's a rural area and there's nothing of value to steal in it. I have quite a few pieces of old electronics to dispose of, and some other bits and pieces. Alas, my car died and is no more. Do you think I could achieve the same with a bicycle?
