Shooting for the moon... Again

I've just been reading up on NASA's new Moonshot set for the summer of 2020 called Project Constellation. It's not as ambitious as the Apollo project of the late 1960s, but at least it's a start. A human being hasn't left Earth's orbit since 1972 when Apollo 17 returned from the Moon. The budget cuts that cancelled the Apollo program also cancelled ( Read more... )

Positive developments to be sure . . . it will be fascinating to see how, in the next few decades, space travel is affected by private ventures.

In my readings on "space tourism" today I found Space Cadets. It would be fun to watch, if only to figure out how they pulled it off . . .

The moon landing is just a fraud! The Americans are just saying that they landed there to boost their citizens moral during the cold war! MAN HAS NEVER BEEN TO THE MOON!!!!!!!!!11!!!1!

And now the Americans are going to really try it, but its not as simple as they plan they created in the 60's to dupe the public! They are exposing themselves!!! MWHAHAHA!
