It's the best free email system I've ever used. Much better than Hotmail or Yahoo. Also you get 2.5 gigabytes of storage. Would you like an invitation to open an account? You have to be invited because they are still refining it.

Gimme your email address and I'll send you one.

I sent it. Check your junkmail folder if it isn't there in a few minutes. Microsoft is bad about shuttling gmail invites into "Junk" to be spiteful.

Got in at the early beta stages through a friend. Have been using it ever since, both as my main email address and my personal storage space. It is quite fast and feature-packed :) oh and more importantly...free ^^

I like it, but since I've used Hotmail for 3+ years now, I just use that, but GMAIL is very easy to get used to.

It's really good for regular email. It has some problems dealing with the comments to El Jay entries, if you have those mailed to you. It threads them weirdly. This is why I still use Yahoo as my main account. But for a lot of non-El Jay stuff I use gmail.

I love the fact that gmail is smart enough to thread comment emails! All comments to an entry or comment end up in the same conversation. It isn't smart enough to do it with entire comment threads, and the fact that it does it at all threw me off at first, but I think it's amazing and convenient.

Another thing I like is that I can start replying to an email, realize halfway through that I wanted to reply to all, and change it without retyping my message. Gmail is the only intuitive webmail service, and it rocks. Email me when your account is up and running.

The problem with threading the comment emails is that it so often threads them incorrectly. I would use it more if there were a way to tell it not to thread the comment emails at all, which would be somewhat better than having them threaded wrong. And there's something annoying about getting a new comment from Person X and seeing it show up in the email box as a comment from whoever made the comment that gmail thinks is at the top of the thread.

But I agree with the rest of your comment. I like gmail for stuff other than getting El Jay comments.

Hi Jordan.

Got a new e-mail and LJ. there are restrictions on what I can say right now but at least I am back.

Could someone invite me into that Gmail thing?

Peace homies!
