Whatever happened to honest scamming campaigns?

So I feel kinda stupid, actually I feel really stupid. See, I heard about Courtney Christovich getting all these iPods off the internet for free by doing stupid things where you sign up for stuff, and then you have to go through the trouble to cancel them all before they charge you a million dollars for their stupid services, and then you get your ( Read more... )

i did it a long time ago though, over a year and a half ago actually... before they started scamming people. and i did freeipods.com which was actually legit at the time, not sure if it still is. sorry about what happened though, that really sucks. -Court

Yeah, freeipods is the only good site for this. I almost considered it myself a few years ago, but I just didn't feel like going through all the trouble. Any other site trying to offer ipods is generally either a scam, or cruel enough to be no different than a scam.

There was one that I had seen a while back that you had join up all these online things for free month trials and you could cancel after that but you had to pick like three companies...and it was weird but I had never actually seen anyone do it. Although, I have an ipod and I got it for free so :P I didn't have to do anything for it other than be my adorable sweet self ;P

did that once for a laptop...even tried to do their free offers but no matter how hard you try, you do end up having to spend at least $500 to get whatever it is they're tempting you with....I also thought it was pretty homo-erotic that they get you to join up and give all your info BEFORE they tell you it's going to cost money
