I was planning on writing a rather lengthy post today, but I have no energy to start one, let alone complete it. Today has hit me hard. It's been difficult trying to keep my emotions in check with everything that is going on, and on the top of it it is officially 6 years ago that Matthew Shepard died in that hospital room. The truth is he died

I know, I was referring to a song by the Williams Brothers of the same name.

It is very hard for me not to internalize these things and apply them to my own life. In fact, it is impossible. These people deserve my tears if nothing else.

I agree that there is a fine line between living and being bogged down, and I strive hard to maintain that balance, but this sometimes gets the best of me.

I'm sorry it's been such a rough day for you, and that any of us have to live in a world where these senseless tragedies occur and are swept under the rug. It's not okay.
