I want you to know I've already run into this, or a version of it - was the one you got sprinkled through with snide anti-Democrat sentiment? (I cannot conceive that it wasn't.) Now I don't have a declared political party, but as a reporter, I get REALLY pissed when someone who doesn't check their facts forward shit like this to me and knows what I do for a living - and then takes offense when I tell them there are problems with it, or ask them to stop forwarding such as this (because I don't want to start a fight by bringing up the mistakes I do know about ( ... )

LOL - I got the edited reply to this as soon as I was about to post my initial response.

The main reason I wanted to post this, aside from the fact that I cannot stand 'information' passed off as fact when it's really a giant pack of lies is because it's very clear that people on the right in both houses are counting on this sort of nonsense to reenergize their base with fear and hysterics because they have NO ideas to contribute anymore that don't serve to benefit only a chosen few as opposed to a vast majority. Why? Because it's all they've got in the run up to the midterms that come in 6 more weeks, and they're shit-scared as they ought to be.

Granted, estimates are that come midterms the majority party tends to lose roughly 25 house seats and 4 senate seats, so we'll have to see whether or not the turn out that gave us the outcome of 2006/2008 is still paying attention.
