Yay! If you guys aren't too worn out when you get to San Antonio, give a call and we can meet for dinner. (I'm only about 20 minutes away.) I'll email you more later! But yay!!! : )

Brad, I know this is a big step for you and Damien, and you are probably right about some bouts of homesickness ahead. But I am willing to be that, all things considered, you are going to find the move to be an exciting adventure and you are going to love being in your new home.

Arizona can be brutal in the summer heat, but almost everywhere is air-conditioned, and on all but the hottest days, the lack of humidity makes it very nice to sit in the shade, with a fan blowing a bit of a breeze. You won't miss the humidity you have experienced in previous summers, I am sure.

There are a lot of great people in Phoenix, and I am sure you guys will make a great circle of new friends in no time.

Best wishes to you and Damien for a trouble-free move and a very successful settling-in process.

The condo looks gorgeous with the views of the lake and hills. Lovely.

Of course it's going to be a huge change for you both, but you'll probably be so busy just settling in that you won't have too much time to dwell on the homesickness to start with. And it's not like you're going to another continent. It will be a wonderful adventure!

Best wishes to you guys in this very busy and crazy time. Be nice to one another.. You need each other more than ever right now and times will be filled with stress and the opportunity for bad atittudes. xoxoxoxo to you both. Thinking good thoughts -- maybe now that you'll be in PHX, we'll have the opportunity to meet one day -- I have met a good group of bloggers in the PHX area.'

Good luck with the move. Seems like you are taking the 10 west. Just don't freak out with the border patrol stop west of Las Cruces. With a Uhaul you may face some screening.

Bring lots of water for the ride from San Antonio west. It is pretty barren out there. Beautiful but barren.
