First of all, a big HIIIIIIIIII to anyone from gameraddme and animeaddme !

Secondly, despite being simultaneously crushed by the steamrollers that are computer animation class and the swine flu, I am somehow doing okay. My Pokemon Trading Card Game mod is coming along slowly, but at the moment I'm not absolutely petrified that I'm going to run out of time on this ( Read more... )

Drinking honey is a great remedy for a sore throat, believe it or not. A few years ago, I was in this play (it was a lot of fun, actually) and I'll never forget this one guy that had the role of Satan in it. His throat was really killing him every time he practiced and especially during performances, where he went all out. He had a lot of yelling, and even though his microphone warped his voice, he still had to make his voice deeper and far rougher than his normal speaking voice. He was drinking honey like it was Gatorade to make sure he could still talk and because it was like mucus, since I can only imagine how horribly dry and fucked-up his throat felt.

Really now? I'll have to get some at publix tomorrow. Someone's gonna have to call poison control if I keep popping these advil things.

Never minding the fact that honey is one of those things I'd love to have excuse to just drink straight from the bottle.

I don't blame you!
I eat so many things straight, it's not even funny. Oftentimes I will sit down in front of the ps2 for some quality gaming and munchies, with nothing but a spoon and a jar of marshmallow fluff, peanut butter, or even jelly.

I hope you get better, but shouldn't you be staying at home wearing a face mask and junk? I mean, Swine Flu? Don't you have a fever that is topping 100 and not breaking for anything? Are you sure you have it?

Also, salt water gargled in the mouth relieves a sore throat. Personally, I'd rather have a sore throat than a mouth that tastes like salt water, but it's not just some wive's tale home remedy crap. It has scientific backing. Look it up.

My fever broke on Tuesday. It's all downhill from here, but my nose is still clogged like no tomorrow and my throat is all sore. I can't afford to miss any more class, since if you miss more than one class for many of my classes, you lose credit for the course. (You do get a free excused absence if you're sick, but that also requires telling the school I'm sick, and when you do, they quarantine you and make you move to a secluded dorm for a week. Do not wannnttt. D:)

Sweet deal! I just tried it, it was almost instant. It's not supreme relief, it still feels a bit irritated, but it's definitely enough that I can fall asleep. Thanks.
