I'm now sure that the other reason I don't like London is that I can't get my head around where things are in relation to each other.

On the other hand, we did find a shop which is best described as L-Space for alchohol...

I like this underground map. Pity it doesn't have the major roads on.

After living in Surrey and working in the city for a few years, I'd say that London didn't slot together fully in my head until I'd walked, cycled and driven big chunks. The tube didn't help in putting it together at all.
