Elements:

Water-->Earth-->Fire-->Ice-->Thunder-->Water < Dark<-->Light

Water is strong to Earth, Earth is strong to Fire, Fire is strong to Ice, Ice is strong to Thunder, and Thunder is strong to Water. Dark and Light cancel one another out and are strong against all other elements.

Percentages are base percentages and do not take into account any field bonuses/mishaps, armor, accessories or level. This is basically what each spell would do/have a chance of doing if done by a lvl 1 character in their starter equipment. Back and Front Compatible refer to the back or front rows and whether the spell can hit both or only one when being cast. Multi hit spells that have both rows will always hit both rows when cast unless the target can dodge it.

Status Spells:

There are many effects that can turn the tide of battle that does not equate into how high of a damage counter one can rack up. Though brute forcing may work if you are tenacious enough, a thoughtful traveler will be able to take advantage of some effects that will make a fight easier.
