That is so bizarre, I wonder why it's doing that. They are working fine in my game, even when I deleted them from my saved sims folder and just had them installed as a download.

This issue is easily fixed, all that has to be done is to add ".package" towards the end of the file-name and the file-format should change to the proper one. I've already gone through all of your original files and done just that and I'm just about to go into SimPE to geneticize and townify them. Would you like me to send the fixed files over (I suspect this would be more convenient than having to re-name all the files again?) together with the genetiziced and townified versions?
