On second thought, there is a huge problem with this argument. Savage obviously wants people to say to themselves, "This is the 'cost of admission.' I have to put up with this." But a more likely application of this rhetoric is for a person to say, "This guy is not accepting enough. He needs to know that's the cost of admission." I think even a moderately selfish person will misuse the message!
