SGA #4.17 Midway (episode review)

Apologies if my thoughts on this ep are a bit scattered/incoherent/whatever but I'm falling asleep on my keyboard (wanted to get this posted before tomorrow as I'm expecting company this weekend and won't have much time otherwise). I also have a few general thoughts to add regarding the next season of the show, which I'll put behind another cut.

I'm sort of going to go slightly up against you here....but only in so much that I'd also LOVE to see much closer interaction between Sam and Daniel, but only if it also includes LOTS of Daniel interacting with Atlantis too.....I was so disappointed that he didn't get the chance to explore anywhere in the Pegasus Project and ended up in a room with an Ancient for all that time.....Also I just don't trust JM to write Daniel a decent meaty part....I can only hope that MS has a bit of input into how his character will be involved in the storyline and make sure that he gets a good crack at "guest spot".....

I just fear that the writers will pay "lip service" to another SG-1 member, either to keep the ratings up/Daniel fans "sweet" without really being that enthusiastic about him......

Fingers crossed for both hopefully....Sam and Daniel and lots of Daniel and Atlantis.....

Nah, not really much up against me. :) I know what you mean. I was disappointed that we didn't get to see Daniel exploring Atlantis much in Pegasus Project. He spent the whole time talking to Morgan Le Fay. What happened to "Daniel Disneyland"? He's been itching to go to Atlantis since S8 and he spent most of his time there in one room!

I'm afraid I don't trust JM very much in that regard myself. I heard that he had written a scene between Daniel and Rodney that involved much quick talking, but that was it. I share your fears.

I don't hold out much hope for either desire, but I'll keep my fingers crossed nonetheless. Hopefully we will both make out well. :)

I can't watch this episode without remembering the Comic-Con panel last year. Mallozzi let slip that something bad was gonna happen to the Midway Station and David looks at him and goes "wait, I haven't gotten that script yet."

LOL!! Oh, thanks for reminding me about that! I remember hearing about that.... heh, poor David! ;)

Yeah, I'm hoping that at least one of the episodes he appears in will by luck also be one that Sam will appear in. I don't hold out much hope though.

Oh well, suppose fanfic can always fix that. :)
