... the Our Stargate forum lately? Man, I can't believe all the Sam haters over there. It's scary. I guess it makes sense in a way, since they're mostly huge Daniel fans who hated that some of the Sam focus (and S/J stuff) of the later seasons took away from Daniel.

Umm. I have no idea where they get the idea that Sam and Daniel aren't friends since season three. One of te first questions we hear carter as when she gets back in the Road Not Taken is,"So you really got no information about Daniel while I was gone?" I'd say that shows friendly concern about Daniel and that is in the latter half of Season Ten.

Yeah, I don't know where they're getting their info from. I do know some people at that site hate Sam because they thought a big focus on her and the S/J stuff shoved Daniel to the side. I definitely saw concern from Sam regarding Daniel in the later seasons (even in S10 like you mentioned). I guess their hatred of the character has blinded them. *shrugs*

Jess, you know I'm a huge sg-1 fan, but really, people must keep in mind this IS just a tv show!!!!!!!!!!!! I wish people could just respect each others opinions and relax.

Exactly!! I really can't believe how obsessed some people get over this type of thing. It's as if they know the characters personally. I was just informed by someone there that this is what they do on that site: agree or argue.

I'm not much for arguing so I'll just take my leave of that place. I used to go there when I first became a SG fan because they were big Daniel fans and would have all the con reports and pics, but in the past few years they've turned into such Sam haters. They really do need to sit back and remember it's a TV show.

It's pathetic the way some people are. And I didn't see any of the things "that person" did. Were they watching a different show than I was? And I totally understand the reason to vent. ::grin::

*grins back* Thanks. Yeah, they are way too protective of Daniel... anyone takes any ounce of screen time away from him is evil. Way too obsessive and scary...

They're acting like Daniel is a real person and not just a character. Doesn't make sense.

Yeah, it's almost scary. I've also noticed that they despise Jonas. I've been at that site for about 5 years in one form or another (lurking for most of it actually) - and one thing I've always picked up on is that Daniel has been elevated to almost god-like status. He can do absolutely no wrong in their eyes. If you try to criticize the character for anything he's done, they take such offense.

Not all of them are like this, but a lot are. It pretty much boils down to this: Daniel good. Vala good. Daniel/Vala good. Daniel/Jack good. Sam/Jack bad. Sam bad. Sam/Daniel bad because Sam is not worthy of Daniel's friendship.

*throws up hands* (again this isn't everyone over there - but a good group of them)

No... I don't know what show they're watching, either, Jess. But I think that they just want to hate Sam & they'll use any reason to do it. Don't let them get to you. It's just a tv show, and we live in AU land, as obviously, so do they. :P

Yeah, that's what it seems like to me. She takes screen time away from Daniel (Jack is good because he equals more screen time for Daniel, as does Vala, Cam sometimes, but Sam subtracts from it... according to their logic).

But when you get right down to it, that's the thing... it is just a tv show. Would be nice if some people could remember that but I guess in their AU Daniel and Sam and everyone else are real people, not fictional characters.
