I posted a link to an interesting article on the effect birth control has had on human society on my Facebook page. We may be fighting this fight for a while longer- but I think we'll win in the long run. Just gotta be stubborn, persistent and tough which you and I and all our friends have in spades. Plus, we're RIGHT, dammit!

Random thought - do you ever think we're shooting ourselves in the foot? After all, the people who are against abortion and against birth control are, somewhat by definition, going to out-breed the opposition. A vast percentage more people raised with the idea of what is wrong with the world - and of course some of the progeny will have minds of their own and make a different decision than their parents, but... There's something to be said for breeding your own support team :/

Years ago the term "Marching Morons", and our duty to out-breed the marching morons came to my ears from various friends.

Oddly enough, at least two of the resultant kids are absolute sludge of society.

But yeah, I agree. We've absolutely lost any respect for.... Well, respect. So the 60% in the middle are now ruled by the 20% radicals on the right, and the 20% radicals on the left because We're Too Damned Polite. And there is no cure because then we become...

Radicals.

Well, I guess I feel better knowing I'm not alone in that thought. It's not *helpful*, but at least I have company :)

No, I don't think breeding more babies does any good at all. I know lots of former babies raised by liberals who ended up leaning right. What's his name, the British guy who was MP for a while- he was born to circus performer parents and RAN AWAY FROM HOME so he could grow up to be a good, god-fearing right wing asshat.

I think if someone gets to tell me if I get to have birth control pills, I get to look into their medicine cabinet and decide what pills they can or can't have.
