Just pretty alert. I'm not particularly steam-punkish or Edwardian in my tastes, but this is just a pretty little treatment someone's done on their computer desktop components.  http://steampunkworkshop.com/lcd.shtml  I've seen the keyboard before (cover your eyes,

Of course, you tell me to avert my eyes, which means I have to look.

I'm not that upset with the use of the typewriter keys, as these seem to be the type of people that will use the remainder of the typewriter in other projects. I get more upset with "crafters" who hack off the keys and throw out the rest of the typewriter, rather then sell it to people who can use it to repair what they have. Or worse, they bid on 90 year old machines, against people who would restore the things, to hack off the keys...

*sigh* Sorry, /rant. ;)

But it is pretty.

And is it sad that I was thinking 'Those look like keys from a Royal" only to find out that's what he used.

Okay, I take back my previous comment.

He went down to JoAnne's and got rings to replace the keys he didn't have.

Why didn't he just do that for all of them? It was probably a hell of a lot cheaper?!

I'm now mad at him.

Just so you know... ;)

Because you can tell the difference. Actually, I'm sure it's because the boy cain't count and didn't know he'd be short until he'd already pirated the typewriter, but you CAN tell the difference.

*TOLD* you not to look! :D

Since when do I listen? In fact, "Hey, don't look at this" generally falls into the same category as "Duck", which means people are going to not do what you tell them and look at either something you don't want them to, or for something about to hit them.

In the case of not wanting someone to get hit by something yell "Look out". It generally means they duck and cover.

Yes, I'm rambling in the reply...
