Hopefully you'd get to enjoy some of them before keeling over. Death by classic film. Not such a bad way to go.

Now if it was a collection of history's greatest teenage slasher films, I'd be all set...

Seriously, though, that looked a lot like my fourth-year film studies viweing list. And now I'm all tempted to make one of those Amazon guides -- you know, "Great Teenage Slasher Movies, by Patton" or something.

You should! Make sure you link to it.

I just ordered the Nightmare on Elm Street Collection. Does that series make your cut? It's my personal favorite.

Not as a teenage slasher movie per se, but definitely one of the great horror movie series of all time. A New Nightmare provides the basis for the deconstruction of the genre that Craven would use later in the Scream series. That's why I'm tempted to go see Cursed, despite my girlfriend's protests that it looks lame.

I finally managed to get her to agree to watch Shaun of the Dead, which, while it's not a slasher movie, has zombies in, and really, you can't go wrong with zombies.

Also there's the Amityville Horror remake coming out Real Soon Now that I am totally going to see. Hopefully it doesn't suck.

I have high hopes for Cursed. I think it's also written by Kevin Williamson...did I hear right on that? Maybe then it will have some of that Scream wit too. And it has Christina Ricci! Shaun of the Dead was GREAT, although it wasn't exactly a horror movie...more of a romantic comedy with zombies.

I didn't know about the Amityville Horror remake. I'll have to check that out. What do you think about the House of Wax remake, starring the Queen of Dubious Talents Paris Hilton?
