LiveJournal is one of my last refuges.  I’m followed by family on other places and sometimes you just need a place to vent and unload when you’ve had enough.

It’s Christmas time.  But it doesn’t feel like it to me.  I’ve heard as you get older time seems to go by faster, and it seems that’s really true.  It doesn’t feel like it should be Christmas.

I know exactly how you feel and I empathize. Thanksgiving was pretty rough for me, but I'm making the most of Christmas by doing everything I can to celebrate the holiday, instead of pretend it doesn't exist. I just made gingerbread cookies, just for me. Do something just for you, Jessica. It'll do you a world of good. :)

This is my first Christmas as a divorced woman too, but I feel utterly fabulous! (Perhaps you should try it, too. It's actually quite painless!) :P

Take care and try to enjoy the little things, and don't let the turkeys get you down.
