Poaching peasr in wine for dessert tonight. I've wanted to do this for years, it is so simple, but have never gotten to it.

I'm excited to see how it turns out.

YUM. John did that for dessert awhile back (in port) and it was divine. You can reduce the syrup down further and use it on pancakes, too :D

Right now the syrup smells so good that I'm considering pouring it in the bathtub and bathing in it.

I can see the more practical aspects of using it for pancakes, though.
