I've been cooking three meals a day and baking something interesting every night for dessert. Louisiana has brought out my inner chef :-P I made a lovely peach pie a few days ago whose recipe I think will demand future appearances from the natives.
I'm sure you can find a compromise between something that isn't complicated to bake and doing your work. ;) Cookies are kind labor intensive, but some bread or muffins or something or other might be just the ticket. ;)
