I'm tempted to run a basic English course for everyone in town and explain once and for all the difference between your and you're. That one probably gets my goat more often than any other error.
That is particularly bad. I've gotten to the point where I really get irked by using 'that' when what ought to be used is 'which.' In reality, it's a small thing. But learning dead languages makes you pay attention to different things. What's the likelihood you'll get to teach such a class?
Eh, truth be told, I was just griping. I've taught basic courses for adults and seniors in computers, Internet, and resume writing. I liked doing them, but I'm really impatient when I teach computer courses. I can't imagine teaching something so inherent to my nature as English - I'd be going nuts if I had to teach teh basics.
