Suggestions anyone?

you could take a bunch of pictures of yourself and a picture of him (since he can't be there) at a bunch of places that remind you of the last 3 years. some cute ones, some romantic ones, some funny ones... cheap but meaningful and it'd probably bring a smile to his face :)

Scrap book maybe? Just a small one. Does he need anything? Maybe a portable dvd player? Movies? You can do a coupon book of stuff for when he get home that he wants to do...

Well I made him a scrap book of things that I love about him for our one year anniversary last time he was deployed, so I can't really do that again. He definitely doesn't need anything, he's so spoiled. I could possibly do the coupon book thing...thanks!

Yikes! Your choices are definitely limited. You know.. I say just 'postpone' it.. Like.. buy a gift certificate to a hotel in a near-by city.. arrange for a trusted family member or friend to watch the kids... And then send him a card, photograph of the hotel and city, and a note that says, "Happy Anniversary-- when you get home we will spend 2 nights and three days here."

They personalize your gifts and it could be for anniversaries, anything... this may be cutting it a little close because it takes about a week to go through personalization, but it's a GREAT site for gifts you want to give that are sentimental...

I don't even know ya, but I ran across your journal via Tammy, and I read this and I had an immediate thought for ya, but it's awfully similar to the other suggestions. I was just going to say put together a slideshow of pictures from you past three years (or more) that were special, goofy, cute and burn it to a disk for him. Or include videos or wishes from your friends and families to him on ya'lls anniversary.... And I like Tammy's idea. Anyways, whatever you end up doing, I am sure it will be perfect!
