So I hope. I finally broke down last night and tried the air conditioner (window unit) in my bedroom. It works! I hadn't used it once in the past two years, but with the heat index being 110 today, I was worried about both cats, especially Puddy ( Read more... )

Your like those monks who walk around with masks on so they don't inhale any bugs and kill some life form....expect probably sweatier :)

It was really inconvenient to use the bugger! The cord didn't reach any outlet and it was a 3-pronged cord, to which I didn't have the proper extension cord to use with it. Finally, I realized that my surge strip could be used, so I sacrificed my desktop PC for the air conditioner instead.

I would prefer not to kill things that make me go eww. Usually, I sic the cats on the bugs to oust them from my presence. I'm chicken like that. Spiders I'm good with though, and I'll pick them up and bring them outside to run amok.
