Is this the fucking renaissance? I don't even know what the fuck to say. It's like, everything a video game loving boy has hoped for in vain can... suddenly come true? Like, all those years spent praying at broken altars, gingerly pulling strands of web from dried petals and polishing cracked icons finally caught the attentions of some forgotten

Goddammit I love salmon. Now I have to have salmon for dinner. What spices do you use, etc? I want to try it.. usually I just oven broil my salmon with sesame oil, a bit of mayo, soy sauce, sesame seeds, dill and garlic.

SALMON SO GOOD! I've been really into fish, lately. I'd really like to try making my own sushi.

I make a mixture of ground cumin, coriander, nutmeg and cloves. I rub it on top of one nice-sized slab of salmon (i'm using Pacific king, but next time i might go for farm raised steaks or even a big slab of sockeye) and really press it in, then slap it down rub-side onto an oiled cast-iron skillet warmed up to high-ish. Four or so minutes, give or take, depending on how it's cooking, flip it over and give it another minute or two.
